Hi I have an UPC box DC211, Ive tried connecting a cable from the "RF out" connection to a cable thats runs to the bedrooms upstairs which already connected to UPC main supply, but when I add a f-type splitter I can still receive the main channels but not the "Premium" channels eg sky sports, movies upstairs. Is there a way to get these channels without the aid of another box?

A video sender may work but I'm surprised that doesn't. Do you get any digital channels or just analogue? If just analogue, another box or a video sender is the only way.

By main channels I take it you mean the analogue channel. The digibox doesn't pass the digital channels on the RF out. You could use a VCR or buy an Rf modulator.

Ive tried channeling it through my DVD/HD recorder on the AV channel. What would a RF modulater? how would that help?

It would do pretty much what your DVD/HD recorder should be doing. I didn't realise you were already using the DVD/HD recorder as an RF modulater

I was able to get a signal upstairs a few years ago using the feed from UPC coming into the box-> 2 scarts from the box going to the back of TV and video -> put sky sports on the box and change the video to AV and we would be able to get the signal upstairs and thats roughly the way Ive done it this time and Im not getting anything, except the basic service

Sounds like you have it setup correctly. Try connecting the DVD recorder to the TV set, that's in the same room as the digibox using the RF out. Get that working, then move on from there.
