Whats it going to take?? Yet another bit of disgusting double standards from our government. Not happy with screwing the taxpayer with income levies, wage cuts, child benefit cuts, social welfare cuts etc now they are going to impose carbon taxes and water charges onto us all. They have increased the eligable age for pensions to 68 while the politicians pension schemes remain intact with most of them riding off into the sunset with their retirement packages from the age of 50!
Thats nice of them isnt it?? Also the banking elite sitting comfortably in the knowledge that their ass is covered despite the mess they have caused the economy and knowing that our ministers will bail them out without a seconds thought.........

    Irish politics is utterly corrupt.
The difference between now and the days of brown paper bags, is that the corrruption has been legalised.

Massive scale corruption and degeneration in Irish state started with Charles Haughey and Brian Lenihan, Snr then continued with Bertie Ahern and Brian Cowen (as finance minister). I believe Charles Haughey and Bertie Ahern are mainly responsible for corrupting politics and democratic state . While likes of Brian Lenihan, Snr and Brian Cowen were to dim or afraid to rock the boat and just did what there were told. That is 30 years of damage they inflicted on the State and the people of the country.

There is a Ranting & Raving forum, or you could get a blog for this kind of post.
