Hey all, my laptop (an Advent 6211) screen is completely black on bootup and I'm just wondering could anyone help me!

I press the power button, the hard drive spins, and lights on the power button comes on including webcam light. But the screen is completely black, no POST,BIOS settings etc.

I'm wondering is the screen bust or is it faulty RAM perhaps?

Anyone have experience of this? Any ideas welcome.
    Thanks for reading.

EDIT: Just after re-seating the RAM, still no luck. Laptop restarts without beeps after on average 20 secs, indicating the motherboard is fried perhaps?

Does it boot into windows or does it just loop booting up

Is it possible to connect an external moniter to it and see if it displays picture,

If it does your screen is prob gone and needs replacing

    hope this helps
