JSA & Casual Work

I'm on JSA after having a means test I've been allowed 98Euro a week (married with 2 children). I have now been offered some casual work but the hours are not guaranteed and if I do get hours it will be a max of 5 per day 9Euro per hour (including some sundays). I'm just wondering if i can sign for the days I'm not working, will I have to be means tested again or do I need to sign off completely.

You can be put on casual dockets so you can let social welfare know on a weekly basis what you will be working. You submit the docket every week and depending on what you work you will be paid accordingly. Your means will be reviewed however - on Jobseeker's Allowance, they will work out your means for one day's work, and every day you work that amount will be deducted from your weekly pay.
