Irish Youth Choir seeks singers for its summer programme.

The Irish Youth Choir is holding auditions for its residential training course and concerts and seeks young people aged between 18 and 28 to join the choir.

This year sees a unique and historical collaboration between the Irish Youth Choir and the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland. For the first time in the their history, the two national youth music organisations will work together to rehearse and perform a challenging and exciting programme, including Brahms' Requiem, Barber's Prayers of Kierkegaard and Ives' The Unanswered Question. The residency and concerts will run from June 26th to July 4th and performances will take place in West Cork, Wexford Opera House and the National Concert Hall in Dublin.

Nationwide auditions for the Irish Youth Choir are now taking place.

Auditions will take place on the following dates:
Cashel: Wednesday 24 March.
Cork: Friday 12 March (from 6pm) & Saturday 20 March (from 11am)
Dublin: Saturday 20 March (from 10am)
Galway: Tuesday 9 March (from 7pm)
Kilkenny: Wednesday 10 March (from 7pm)

Waterford: Wednesday 10 March (from 6pm)

Limerick: Thursday 11 March (from 7pm)
