    Raw almonds.

Brazil nuts are one of the best food sources of selenium, which is low in Irish soil so we tend to be deficient in it (horses always get selenium licks).

Peanuts are one of the worst, they are technically not even nuts.

Whats the best place to get nuts that arent too expensive? I remember fruit and veg places used to do them. Do they still?

They are legumes, not nuts, and they are one of the most allergy provoking things you can eat. They also don't have the range of health benefits of most true nuts. Not to mention that they usually come roasted and covered in salt and/or sugar etc.
