just bought a new gt mountain bike and really love it but the saddle is a bit hard on it. going to be using it mainly for the short distance to work so looking for a saddle thats a bit more comfortable! have no idea about anything bike related so can people recommend any good ones please?!!

I think the main consensus will be different seats for different seats. it really depends on what you like, just try a few out...

May just be a matter of getting used to it. Padded cycling shorts also a good idea. How long is the commute? You can get gel covers which could help if you are only going a short distance. The sort of saddle most people have around here is probably substantially harder than the one that came on your bike!

yeah its literally a 10 min cycle max, those gel covers sound the job, i assume any bike shop would sell them?!

10 mins . aldi had some gel covers a while back ,if not a spring loaded saddle might help.

try putting more weigh on your legs and less on your ass.

keep out of the pot holes ,
