Passport expiry date

    Hi all,

    Im due to travel to England in the first week in july for a weekend. My passport is up in August. Will this be an issue or will I be fine with my passport:confused:

    It's fine. There's only a few countries in the world that require you to have at least 6 months left on your passport before you can enter (the USA for example), but you don't need a passport to enter the UK, you're just using it as identification for the airline.

    Fine to travel on an Irish passport to the UK till the day it expires.

    You do not need 6 months left on an irish passport to travel to the USA either. Its fine also to travel till the day it expires but you will only be admitted to the day it expires and not the 90 days under the VWP.
