    Hello,
I'm new to Galway and was hoping people from the area could recommend some nice restaurants in the city or restaurants on the outskirts Clarinbridge/Oranmore side of Galway.
Nothing too expensive anything between €20 to €40 a head excluding wine...
In particular European/Seafood/Italian/Thai food. I'm not a fan of spicy food.. Restaurants with a good atmosphere and setting is also preferable.
    Much appreciate your suggestsions!

O'Grady's on the Pier in Barna serves EXCELLENT seafood.
It's sister restaurant, Kirwan's Lane in city centre does equally good food.

Hi - lots of places to eat in Galway - some better than others.
On the higher end and for a nice occasion - Oscar's or Abalone. Cava (Spanish) is close to these restaurants also on Dominick st but more reasonable. During the week dinner - Tamarind (do really good mid week specials), Thai Gardens - both are across from Jurys and are Asian (ish), Da Tang Noodle on Middle St. and Milano for your pizza and wine. In Oranmore there is Bassilico and in Salthill there is Da Roberta. Similar Italian food. The Cottage Bar in lower Salthill does a great food trade in tapas which are great. There is about a thousand Chinese takeaways so that one you may have to figure out for yourself. Tulsi is good for Indian.

The previous poster mentioned two very nice restaurants but may be on the higher end price wise. Also check out Martine's wine bar on Quay st.

    Hope the above helps :)
