Software for making 'comic strips'?

Ok, random question, feel free to move this to digital darkroom, mods, but i thought it'd get more traffic here. :)

Does anyone have any software they use for creating comic strips of their photos? Say if I wanted to put three photos together, in a strip fashion but save it as the one image, how would I go about it? I'm doing searches all over the shop but can't find what I'm looking for...

    Thanks guys,

    Zo

i know you could make your canvas in photoshop larger than the 3 combined pics then colour it black ( if you want a black background) and then position you pictures on it.

i have done this once and i am sure there is a quicker way of doing it but i am not a pro at that.

Matron: unfortunately I ain't got me no photoshop... I use gimp, but I guess the principle would be the same...

SinisterDexter: That's pretty much it. How did you do that one?

Davmigil: Cheers, will check that out!

looks like it was imported to paint and the spray tool used to do borders.

i thought it was a joke but if you like it.....

Did what you were suggesting - while you were typing - the problem I had was : Define Comic Strip!

    Anyway all sorted.

I have a load of triptych borders that came free with a photo mag. These would do something quite similar. If you want them drop me a PM.

I've used that comic life on a mac. Really simple and easy to use program which also produces really good results.
