I have a small problem with me head lights. the battery light came on one morning for about 5 secs and then went off. had the lights on, radio on and also the window heaters. turned all of them off and just left the lights on for a while (was dark needed them). no battery light then all day long and even on the way home when i had the lights, heater and radio on. (no window heaters didnt need them). then the day after, got into the car in the morning. turned on the lights and the passengers side head lamp went off. damn i though bulb is gone. tootled off anyway with one lamp to work and though change it at lunchtime.

this is where it goes wrong. had a look at the lights when i got to work. turned the lights to park lights only, no lights. turned them to dip, drivers side only. fog lights all work ok. brake lights and tail lights working fine. looked at the number 16/18 fuses in the box. nothing blown. cant get spares in the local garage, not the right ones. thought of changing the bulbs and starte about doing that. followed the instructions in the manual to take the grille off. top connections came off no worries. grilles wont come out. look in a bit more find that the bottom part of the grille is screwed into the bumper behind the grille???? cant get at the headlamp to change that.

so how do i change the lamps? and also does anyone have any idea about the fuses? high beams on both sides work fine as do all indicators.

    thanks,

    burger
