Getting Apps off iPhone

    Hi,

I have an iPhone 3GS and it's working fine, except for not being able to jailbreak it yet

I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 from XP so I had to install it on a new partition. I'd like to be able to sync my apps in iTunes but doing this would mean deleting all apps on my iPhone because they dont exist in the new iTunes library in W7.

How can I get around this? I can still access the Windows XP drive but cannot find the iTunes library or whatever it uses..

    Thanks,

I've read that you can only jailbreak it if you don't mind having to jailbreak it every time the phone is restarted. Is that what you mean by tethered jailbreak?

If your firmware is 3.1.2 or below you can jailbreak .
If your bootrom is 359.3.2 then your phone will remain at the "plug into iTunes " logo (after reboot) until it is tethered back up to your P.C .
You basicially hit 1 button on your P.C desktop to get you past this logo screen , all your Apps and settings are still intact .

People think its a whole new jailbreak process when the phone gets rebooted , its not .

Seems like a right pain in the beep though

That's not acceptable to me though. What happens if I run out of battery and am away from my computer? It's simply not a practical solution.

Are the iPhone dev team making any progress on this I wonder? It's seriously annoying :(

tis the only option for you unfortunately, i wouldn't let it detract you from it,
good chance once you get all your jb apps on and tweaks set up, you'll very rarely need to reboot, i never do,

good luck what ever you decide !
