According to gamtrailers and many other sites Sony are releasing a sequel to one of there titles and info is coming on thursday , anybody dare to guess :P

They'll announce that they'll actually be releasing Gran Turismo 5. I don't think anyone expects that to be released at this point.

Gran Turismo 6?

I would put a lot of credence behind the idea that Killzone 3 could be launched this year. They're riding on the crest of a huge wave with the franchise, and need something to counter-act Halo Reach this year. On top of that there's been rumours going about for some time. No smoke without fire, and all that!

Could it be the Warhawk sequel that's been rumoured for a while after Sony trademarked Starhawk?

I'd be surprised if it was something we hadn't heard hinted at already. I think it's been fairly well established at this point that Sony can't keep anything secret!

Given the choice, I'd go for Primal 2 though. That game, while flawed, had so much potential.

Shenmue 3? Well Sega did say they would do it if a console maker would help with the funding in exchange for console exclusivity.

I would love an inFamout sequel, but I thought that was pretty much a given considering that the first one ended on a bit of a cliffhanger.

Really it's allowing peoples minds to go wild and make mad assumptions. Personally I am hoping for a Killzone sequel announcement but I'm imagining it'll be something a bit more likely, i.e. resistance or motorstorm.

But they've said it's a game you wouldn't think of, so Killzone 3 and anything else on this generation seems like it's out of the question. Maybe LittleBigPlanet, with Sony having aquired Media Molecule in the last couple of days.

I saw someone somewhere else say Syphon Filter. So it could be that. I'm guessing it's going to be something like that. A long dormant franchise, one that hasn't been seen on this generation of consoles yet.

I'd love a fallow up to either G-Police or Dropship. Or Ace Combat 7 for the PS3, I know Project Aces are working on another IP right now but I can dream.

I suppose with so many exclusives coming out on the PS3 in the last few months, Sony want to show that there's more to come after God of War 3 drops in a couple of weeks, to keep the momentum going.

That's what the cynic in me thinks. They need to get some positive headlines after what went on and to be honest, it's working - we're talking about it.

I don't actually know who made the game or if it was an exclusive but back in the days of the PS1 I had a game called 'Monkey Hero' and it was one of the most legendary games I have ever played for inexplicable reasons so I hope it's that.

Resistence 3 is not really a secret as it is one of insomniacs 2. Motorstorm 3 wouldn't really be a suprise either. Infamous 2 or Cole Strikes back or even Infamous: This Time It's Personal. Killzone 3 could be considered a suprise but not really. who knows though.

Ah, man. I was just thinking of that after my post. I still remember the last one on the PS. I rented it a few times, never got around to owning it.:( They don't make them like that anymore.

The only games close were the Freespace games on the PC, another two classics right there.

Not really, there were a load of classics on the PS1 that never got to carry on to the next generation.

Little Big Adventure, Syndicate Wars, Odd World franchise (think MS have that now), Colony War franchise, G-Police, Dropship, the Strike series (Soviet, Nuclear) but that went on to Future Cop LAPD:(. There's even more I can't think of.

Yeah, and I rushed out to buy LAPD, an OK game but oh god why. Soviet Strike and Wipeout were the first 2 games I got with my PS1 back in the day. It was a new concept to me having an open map but have set objective to do. Took a few hours to get used to it but I loved it. Escorting a p1ssed drunk Boris Yeltzin form the Kremlin to the airport while the Russian army rebbles were trying to kill him. He stops of at a Macy Ds on the way and all.:D Good times.

Its going to be a game by one of Sony's American studios so I guess it'll be either Syphon Filter PS3, StarHawk, Sly Cooper PS3 or new game in Flow(er) series.
