Clean up Dublin City

Listening to the show tonight 02/03/2010 about the complaining about all the drug-addicts hanging aroung evry street corner. While tourists are travelling around taking photo's etc, this problem is not getting any better and seems to be the worst than any other European country.
My feelings about this would be that beleive it or not the City council along with the gaurds have already started the clean up. They need more funding , extra gaurds, more powers for gaurds and better education in schools earlier in the scholl curriculum.
Over in New York they used Zero tolerance and this should be introduced here but only if the gaurds were given the extra powers needed for them to be able to get convictions that will hold the person/people in trouble. At the moment they get caught and brought to station and back out 2hours max to commit crimes again.
New laws need to come out and old laws need to be updated.
    Thanks for listening
    Gary from Finglas

Hi there, welcome to Boards. I think you may be a bit lost, this forum is for people experiencing problems with the site rather than for general posting. Your post would probably be better suited to the Dublin City forum.
