    Hi,

I have launched a new website www.wapnote.com. This website allows users to create mobile internet pages easily, and also allows the created pages to be sent out using email, twitter and SMS.

The site can be used by businesses for creating a Mobile Web Page and for SMS marketing purposes.

All feedback on the business model are welcome!

    Cheers.

Homepage needs better/more calls to action.

URLs are SEO unfriendly. Check your links and do a spell, punctuation and grammar check.

    Case Studies would be good.

Your threats would be the likes of NewBay who have shed loads of VC, talent and are about 8 years established. They're also going after the provider market which has a certain business logic. They could target the end consumer market in the morning if they wanted to but have chosen not to.

Pricing model has Free option which is good but there's only one other tier - not so sure about that. €156pa could be good value but requires a lot of paid signups to get decent revenue.

Aren't you aiming at a declining audience as more and more people get iphones etc?

I reckon you are right about more tiers needed - I am thinkin about adding a tier or two for businesses. Thanks for the other tips too.

    Cool! Thanks

The mobile web is predicted to grow rapidly over the next few years...am hoping that it will and to get business from that!

I think Cianos means that with the rise of smart phones and into the future, wap is becoming less important on mobiles as phones try to view websites as the same as on the pc. Your wapnote would be very interesting to other countries in the world where smart phones cost too much and the web is taking hold.

Yeah I see your and Cianos's point, that smartphones allow websites to be viewed exactly like on the web. But as more and more people start using their phones to surf the web, and to communicate with each other through the mobile web, there should be a market (hopefully!) for utilities such as mine which allows the quick and easy creation and deployment of mobile/smartphone friendly pages.

Just FYI please keep discussions around the business model and other business related aspects of the website. Any functional/design stuff should be handled in a different forum, as per charter rules.

I think your in the right direction but your business model needs to expand beyond wap but still to include so businesses can reach mass markets of low end phones + high end. If you need any thoughts on it, just pm me.

Great idea. If you do a good bit of marketing I think you could get HUGE interest in it but I think you would need to do a LOT of marketing for it - radio, papers, product promotions etc... this is the type of thing that could keep running for a long time with sustained income but you need to do marketing.

One thing. I didn't like the way a file was downloaded onto my computer without my consent (terms and conditions). I would change this and ask the user's permission first or you could have a few court cases. You know how people are.

Good idea though. Good luck with it.

    - as a smart phone user myself i actually prefer wap/mobile sites as they don't take as long to load! this is perfect especially if you just want to get a clear message through that loads quickly

Thanks for the feedback! What browser are you using? I haven't seen that issue with the Ts and Cs before.

It was either FireFox or Chrome. I'm not 100% as I use both. I thought it could be a browser issue alright.
