    Hey,

I have finsihed a new house build recently enough that has granite window sills which are stained and cover in crap, they dont event look like granite now. I heard there is some sort of acid or something you can use to clean them. Does anyone know any other ways?

had the same problem on a housing development a few years back(50 houses!!)...we tried just about everything that was suggested, bleach, soaps, some acids,

what worked best at the time for us was to give them a going over with a a wire disc grinder(carefully) to remove any mortar/plastering snots, then applying a strong soloution of armillatox, liberally with a brush and not rinsing it off, very tough going and the results were quite mixed as it did'nt really shift things like rust stains.

    good luck:o
