can anyone reccommend an online shop or shop in galway that is not trying to take advantage of couples getting married. so far i can only see candles for €45 plus online, this is a disgrace in my opinion.
if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Ebay .. got mine personalised with colours/text all in with delivery from NI supplier for €24

If you think €45 is bad, you should see the Irish shops charging €90+ for them!!

we did our own for less than €20. Had trouble finding a nice one that wasn't either religious or wildly overpriced so made our own. Just got a large pillar candle and decorated it with stuff we bought on ebay. We both decorated it (nothing too blue peter! kept it simple!), with some nice stick on jewels and a ribbon. Also as a personal touch we heated the wax and both imprinted our fingerprints on it, which we thought was nice. It ended up very simple but effective, saved us about €20, got what we wanted and it was very personal so a nice keepsake.

There is an Ebay store called Pinkandpotty that do beautiful Unity candles. Got our candles - two taper & one large - in our colour scheme, with names & wedding date and silver holder plus p&p for 44Euro. Delighted with them.
