Hi all - can any of you experts recommend a decent bottle of Brandy as a gift?

Nowt wrong with Hennessy, or Hennessy XO if you've a bit more to spend.

Not a big brandy fan but Remy Martin is a popular good one as is Courvoisier - both French - There are some very good Spanish ones too - Carlos 1 is a favourite of my Dad.

+1 on the Hennessy or Hennessy XO

Hennessy is a recognised as a brandy by almost all irish people, any other brand might not have the same recognition.

The receiptant may not appreciate how much you've spent.. However with the Hennessy, they would know that it wasn't cheap..

got a present of a bottle of Remy Martin Black Pearl, not sure whether or not to open yet.

brandy goes well on its own or with pepsi.

Make sure they are real brandy drinkers most brandy gifts get left in the drinks cabinet or regifted. Try a nice whiskey like jameson 12 yr €60

€60 is a tad much for Jameson 12! It's usually priced anywhere between 30 and 40.

My dad got a bottle of that Paradis as a present. Some price!

He hasn't opened it yet but is a big brandy fan so I'm sure will love it.
Go for it OP. Hennessy is a good, safe bet.
