How does the iphone compare to the Nokia n900

Hi all, I am wondering overall how the iphone compares with the nokia n900? In terms of hardware features the n900 looks a more powerful beast. But in terms of application availability the iphone seems to have a wider range of apps. Any thoughts from both camps before i spend 500 euro? Cheers Flop
