I have my 2nd test coming up soon in Raheny, I attempted my first test in Raheny too but failed miserably due to observation and driving too close to stationary vehichles.

Can anyone give me anymore details what to looks out for in Raheny? I have practiced a few times there and found it to be very busy with cars parked on the side off the road (stationary) But are there any other things I should look out for?

Has any one done it in Raheny lately??

    Cheers

Just keep a door width from parked cars if you can. Also remember to look over your left shoulder as much as your right. Alot of people neglect the left side which they will be marked on.

i don't know anything about the area but as said above, keep a doors width from the stationary cars unless in a very tight street.

Relax and good luck with it

And don't keep swervin in & out of the stationary cars, as Faith said keep a door width out, proceed in a straight line, until you meet an oncoming vehicle & have to slow down & pull in or when you have passed the stationary cars & it is safe to take up normal road position again.

Eh just if you're doing your test after the primary school kids have got off, be extra vigilant as most of the test routes there are in estates.

Might sound odd but dogs are another one, I've had 3 appear out infront of me in the last two weeks, 2 were wandering around with no owner appearing out from behind parked cars, the 3rd would you believe was on a lead but the owner had it on maximun extension which on some leads can be 16 to 20ft & the dog darted straight out infront of me, owner didn't care kept on walking as if the dog was right by her side! Anytime I see one now I always give a quick check to make sure it is on a short lead!

Thanks a million. Yeah I know that I myself have that problem not to look at the appropriate times or looking left over my shoulder. Just have to get at it and hopefully pass the test.;)
