So, the J1 is almost paid off will be done by Friday so then it'l be onto saving for the Summer itself.. I'm just wondering does anyone know if you must have a certain amount in your bank account before you leave for the states and how much if so??
I'm travelling with sayit if that makes any difference.

Hey, yes you are required to have sufficient funds in your bank account upon entering the US. I think it is $750 but not 100% sure. However they don't seek this information, i.e. stop you and ask you for proof.

Yes you can, the whole country is open to you. Just make sure you update your location with SEVIS and the visa company!
