    Hi All,

Wondering whether i'm eligible for full fees paid and maintenence grant for a masters?

I am 25, have lived independantly from parents for 3 years. I have lived in my local catchment area in dublin for three years, however the course i wish to do is in ucc in cork, does this matter? it is my first time doing a masters.

    Appreciate any help on this

I've been researching this myself lately. Will you be applying for BTEA? There were a lot of changes made to grants for mature students in the last budget. If you apply for BTEA reg fees and student charges are covered for undergrad courses and post-grad courses in teaching or that lead to a H.Dip but from 2010 people who apply for BTEA are not entitled to apply for maintenance or top-up grants. Not sure if that helps you at all but Citizesinformation.ie should have clearer info.

dont qualify for BTEA, as i will be working up till i quit for the masters, so i am looking for the maintenence grant. also as far as i know, as of the latest budget, you cant get btea and the grant together anymore, only one.
