got my first puncture today:( something i have been dreading, but was well prepared for . when i got the wheel and tyre off ,out pops this 700 tube which has been folded over on its self in order to fit the 650 wheel.
    is this common practice?
most of the shops i tryed to get 650 tubes in said they didnt stock them anymore , eventully found some in a little shop in fairview (last 2 in stock)
so i suppose you have to use whats at hand in an emergency, but is this safe?
ps i baught the bike second hand .

I believe it does work, after all I presume you were cycling around on the bike OK for a period. You should have no problem getting 650c tubes online.

I have 2 new Conti 650c tubes which I ordered last year by a mistake. It was not worth posting them back to the UK. You can have them for free, just cover postage. PM me.
