Is it just me or does €20 seem a tad overpriced? Could be wrong, but it seems a bit steep.

think thats the norm?? pre-judging is cheaper usually

The cost of the venue, guest appearances and prize money all need to be accounted for.

I doubt they have many significant sponsors either

    Nice guest line up.

I'd happily pay €20 to go to the show if there's a good pool of competitors.

Anyone of your mates from the last two comps going Hanley?
Troy Alves will be worth a look, not much of a fan of Khan. Spring Classic is usually hit and miss, final entries are mid march. The cash prize might attract a couple of extras in!

In other news just been told Ronnie Coleman is guest posing in October for the RIBBF event, now that will be worth a look!

Which is a shame to be honest.

For the record I have no issue with a lad or lads running a show and making some money out of it for themselves at the end of it.

Is this a feeder show for anything else or just an independent show?

Is there anywhere online with a full and comprehensive list of all the shows that take place in Ireland north and south across all federations?

Just a bumb for this in case people have forgotten and from RIBBFs website and as mentioned in another thread
As President of the RIBBF it gives me great pleasure to let all bodybuilders know that RONNIE COLEMAN has agreed to be our guest at the National Championships October 23rd. 2010 at the University Concert Hall Limerick

Anyone going to this? Unfortunately I will be not be able to make it due to a stag in Edinburgh that weekend.
I think a few regulars are competing in this so should be a good show. Have a girl competing for her first time in the figure & there is 5 in the figure category which is quite big for that section. Seems bodybuilding is finally catching on in Ireland!

    Just a bump.

Obviously I was not able to attend but keen to know the results when in later on or early tomorrow.

Couldnt go to it but rang a mate and he said the guy in the novice category is better than the classes (obviously cant win the overall tho)
Guy from 90kg category seems to be the best rated. Will post up whatever I hear.

If anyone hears how Jimmy Murrin or JJ Dunne gets on, can ya please let me know? Pretty sure both are competing today.

I think Famous Islesi is competing in the 90kg or sub 90kg class and Leo Ibrahim is in the heavyweights.

What gets me is that with Ronnie there - you'd think there would be more publicity for this.

Anyone I know who knows a thing or two about competitive bodybuilding has known about this show for ages, and they are the only ones who'll attend this show.Ultimately, it comes down to bodybuilding not having a large fanbase over here,.Fortunately, however, that has been changing steadily over the last few years.

Colin Kenelly won the novice and could have taken the overall and Jozef Podolsky won the overall from the light heavyweight division. Both from Galway City Gym.
No pics yet and have not heard any other results!
