Passport Office - URGENT

    anyone apply for a new passport recently??? i sent in my renewal application in over two weeks ago under the An Post 10 day thingy and i still haven't received it back. I know they are on that bliddy work to rule thing but i can't even get in contact with a real human being to ask about my application... they only have voice activated answering system... :mad:

    Help? Anyone? will i have to attend at the offices to collect my passport? will they even be open? I need it to fly next thursday... where do i stand if my passport is not back in time for me to fly? Can i recoup my flights from the passport office??? (long shot but worth asking about!!!)

    My Dad's was delivered to a neighbours even though it was registered post! That caused a big delay! I would go back to the postoffice ( bring your receipt) and ask them what to do. If it's been shipped they might be able to find a tracking number.

    it was delivered alright, tracked it on An Post...

    Whats the website for tracking the actual application???

    edited to say i found the tracking site!! thanks! Said it was posted last wednesday but i've still not received it! :eak:

    I'd ask An Post for a refund under the sale of goods /supply of service act.
    An Post took you money and failed to provide you with the passport ( is it a good or a service??) as advertised.

    you should only deal with an post, they'll try fob you off with the dept of foreign affairs but you're dealing with them, not the govt.
