    What's it doing wrong?
    What car is it?

You'd really need an auto specialist if it's a problem with the transmission.

    hey barry

yes its just trying to find one on the northside who will look at an import ..my mechanic looked at it when i had a bigger noise every time i put it in gear but that turned out to be an engine mount gone, but he also said there is an awful rattle from the gearbox he is not too sure about the automatics so i need a specialist i think

its a honda inspire the gearbox is setup for rear wheel drive but its a front wheel drive

    hi all

If that was Pat Cassidy in Autotranz I cant recommend him highly enough really knows his stuff and is very fair with his prices your right it is specialised and he is the specialist that most garages use I know dealers in Cork and Donegal that use him so the Northside of Dublin should be no problem !

Have you checked the fluid level in the transmission? There is a dipstick. Honda auto transmissions nearly always suffer problems as a result of not having the fluid changed/maintained. That's an oddball car with an oddball engine, oddball engine layout and oddball gearbox.

I remeber seeing a sign the last time I was in Croke Park for the rugby over one of the garages down one of the lanes next to th eground that said somethign along the lines of auto box specialists. It was one of the turns off the Clonliff road. Dont have any more info than that though.
