At least one rider was injured and removed to hospital by coastguard helicopter following an accident this afternoon between Waterford and Mooncoin.No details of how serious the injury is and dont know whether any others in the group were hurt. Lets hope its not too serious.Anyone else heard about this yet?.

i was out sat and today , motorist have no idea how to pass a cyclist . HGVs must thing its a game to see how close they can get .

The rider concerned is a member of Carrick on Suir Tri club,and has since been moved to Dublin with head injuries.He was part of a group on a training spin with Ciaran Power,and its believed he hit a cats eye in the middle of the road on a fast descent on the as yet unopened section of the motorway from Waterford to Dublin just outside Waterford. The coastguard helicopter was not used as an ambulance was at the scene.

Just read on another site about a cyclist down Waterdord way who had a bad crash on Saturday. Did anybody hear anything about it.
Hope he is okay.
