Buying an unlocked, jailbroken iPhone

    All,

I'm looking at buying a software unlocked, jailbroken 3.1.2 iPhone 3GS

Does anyone know if I'll have to redo all the jailbreaking, unlocking etc when trying to use it with my iTunes account ?

Any gotchas to look out for ? Is there a limit to the number of PCs that you can connect an iPhone to or something ?

Are iPhones running the unlock software slower than a vanilla one ?

    Any other advice ?

    Muchos Gracias

If the phone is already jb and unlocked then it is not running on the latest firmware (3.1.3) if you want to maintain the jb and unlock then DO NOT update the firmware when iTunes ask you if you want to. 3.1.3 is not jailbroken nor is it unlockable (yet)

    Muchos Gracias

    hope this helps

    Fantastic - thanks a lot.

So, just connect her to iTunes, let it sync and all will continue in an unlocked and jailbroken fashion - provided I don't update the firmware ?

Basically yes ... Pop in sim .Add your contacts aswell to the phone :
    settings/ mail, contacts/ import sim contacts .

    Remember , don't update to 3.1.3

    enjoy

    Oh 1 more thing....

If the phone is jailbroken using blackra1n and is made after week 39 2009 , then it will be a tethered jailbreak.
This means everytime the phone needs to be rebooted it will need to be hooked back up to your P.C to get into it.

Might be worth asking the seller
