I am really wrecked today after a 5K race last night.

    Totally wasted.

    Is this normal?

Have you or had recently a cold or flu?

I did a 5km race during a chest cold and I near died during it, was told later that it was a bad idea :)

I wouldn't think that is to abnormal, depending on how hard you pushed yourself during the race. It still would be no harm if you did push hard that you do a few km slow to help with recovery. I assume you are saying your legs are totally wrecked moreso than your whole body!

I would say that I feel very fatigued especially mentally.
My legs wouldn't be too bad.

I have no cold or flu symtoms.

I did about 2k warm down.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Lots of sleep could help with that!

I find I'm a lot more tired after evening races than morning races. I've never figured out why though.
