Get it chipped/remap the ECU or bolt on a turbo/superchager. A lot less hassle then buying a potentially bad 2nd hand engine and even if you get a guarantee you still have the trouble of putting the engine in and out if it's bad.

do the internals of an is 200 take well to forced induction ? Either way fitting a super charger or turbo is a hell of a job.

I don't know. I was working on the principle that even a guaranteed 2nd engine could be knackered so it would need to be installed, then taken out and a fresh engine installed.

And the OP was looking for any other sugestions.

Dont the American IS300's use a 2JZ-GE (non-turbo)? Either way it would be an expensive job!:p

Might be just as economical to trade the IS200 for an Altezza with the Yamaha Beams engine, alot less hassle involved too.
