In cork tonight for one night.
Like comfort and style rather than noise.

Have not been in Cork since the 1980's !!!!

Assume that it has changed a small bit.

Appreciate any local tips as to where to go

depends! if you want to avoid saturday night crowds go to a hotel bar. good pubs in town would be old oak (will be busy) or maybe scotts if you want a slightly older crowd

if we said it was they'd all be trying to join but they wouldn't be so active when they were let in. they'd all be saying "but we were only trying to prove a point we have no interest at all"

feck it, cant wait to go for a nice hard game of handball.
