Hi there. Im opening a bar on a budget(not in Ireland)and I don't have a clue about sound systems.
The place is about 150m2 divided into 4 rooms main entrance has about 45m2 then a room of 15 then a room of 20 then a larger room of about 45m2(where I hope to have some live music in the evenings)
I will probably have to get a second sound system for the live music, I dont know??? but i need some way of controlling the music from the bar possibly controlling individual rooms(as well as 2 outside terraces) and a way of putting the tv sound through it in case there's a big football match or something.
now im on a bit of a budget maybe €1000 no more than 2000.
    Any ideas?
Please keep it simple coz ill have to do all this myself
    Thanks.

I'm sure its best to contact your local Hifi centre for a Bose speaker system(not sure on price...) for the general background tunes/jukebox and then go to any sound shop and get yourself a cheap mixer, top and sub for the bands? And yes you should be able to get some small mixer so you can put the jukebox through it and TV. Each systems volume for each room might be able to be controlled with the amps ye get but not sure!

Thats how i'd go about it but I cant pull a pint for my life:pac:

Speak to an install professional, this is too much to take on by yourself. All this for under €2k is pretty unrealistic.

Forget about the 2nd PA for live music, you don't have the budget to do it properly. Just book acts and insist they bring their own system.

ok ...so 2k is not gonna happen. ill have a chat with one of the local sound stores and see how much they will charge...thanks for the reality check.

most pub's I've setup in has a system where each set of speakers had their own Volume / Source on 2 different dials..

    EG..

    Dial 1:
    Radio / Tv / Aux

    Dial 2:

    Volume from 1 - 11

I'm a Dealer here in Ireland.

    Hi Mickey,

Yeah, these pubs would have a control panel in behind the bar. Would be setup in sections, for the various set of speakers. and for each set of speakers there'd be the Dial1 / Dial 2.

Excellent thats what I think I'd need. By any chance do you know of any brands that are in the lower price range but good? or are the speakers more important??

A lot of bars in Dublin either load up on Bose (premium) or Dynacord (thinks its premium) gear... it's just a simple set of dials in the bar they have connected up to what ever back room they leave the amps in.
