I just tried following the link from the athenry ac website again now and got the registration page up straight away. Maybe try that instead of the home page.

What is happening is very simple, just too many connection at the same time.

Before we open the race people kept refreshing the page continuously which mean that if 1000 people press F5 20 times it over load the system with queries.

It happens to ticket master, Active europe last week, RTE video etc.... it is not that the server is too small, it just mean that any big server do have their limit.

runireland is working on it and entries do get through at the moment very fast. It will calm down after a while. :)

Actually wednesday night, there is the "operation transformation" program and if you watch carefully, I might be in the background of the swimming pool coaching with Paul Donovan the HP swim Ireland crew.......

They were not interested in my stonning performance :( or I looked too good maybe :)

Anyway lots of places left....20 transaction a minute is pretty quick !

I have a 3 day stag in Newcastle before one of them :P That should be some fun!!

Actually the Connemara challenge (26km) is on another weekend, these races will hopefully be good to loosen the legs.

Nice spin from Cbar to the likes of Athenry and Loughrea but well worth it from what I hear :)
