    That's brilliant (except for the cheating!). If my son thought there were extra credits in the Junior Cert for running a fast 10k, he'd be out there every day. :)

    Actually i think this is a great idea to get kids fit.

    Should be something ireland should consider not just running but other sports

    my stepson gets a grade for P.E. just as he would in English or Maths. He lives in Germany. I know there were (maybe still are) plans to make PE a leaving cert subject, new teaching degrees were introduced (Physical Education in UCC) but it hasn't happened yet.
