Need to get to Newcastle Road, Lucan by 08.30 on Monday Morning.

What's the most direct bus from the city (I'll be getting off the Dart) and any idea of the journey time is from city to Lucan.

25a is the best bet - the terminus is on the Newcastle Road.

Journey time is about 45 minutes - the 0735 departure from Pearse Street (stop CU opposite the Garda Station) will get you there for about 0820. It also stops on Westmoreland Street (stop CF - the closest one to O'Connell Bridge).

The 25a departs from Stop CV, which is the next stop down from Stop CU. It is advisable to stand closer to Stop CV, as if the terminus is busy with buses, the 25a can leave without being seen.

    Hope this helps.

D'oh my bad! Yes it is of course stop CV.

The full 25a timetable is at http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/25a/

Be aware that the 25a makes a mad tour of Lucan and that other routes are quicker, depending on what part of the road you want.

Thanks for that, Had a look at the bus stop maps and it looks like the 25A is probably the better suited to where I'm going. Thanks for all the input.
