So as several of you know we are planning on going for dinner next week, I thought it would be easier to create a new thread for this.

Please use the poll to pick the dates that suit you. If you are definitely not going to be able to go (for whatever reason) please pick that option or don't vote at all....

Venue and time will be picked closer to the time (pub grub was the most popular choice in the last poll).

yea it is really. just overpriced stuff in that tiny place where there is not even a table to sit down and eat it. i have to go to england to get my dose of raw fish.

well i could go to dublin, but i'd rather avoid that ****hole if it's at all possible..

Right if it is still a tie at 10pm I'm going to flip a coin and announce the day.

Corkcomp do you have any idea at present which day you are more likely to be free on?

im pretty sure I will be away on Thursday night but go with the flip a coin option because its looking like one of those weeks so cant commit for sure to any day

Ok so it was a tie between Tue and Thu so having flipped a coin the result is THURSDAY 4TH MARCH!!!

Apologies to anyone who cannot make Thursday. However if you are free and have not voted / change your mind please come along!!

Ok so now if you picked Thursday can you please tell me what food you like and we will go with the majority decision. Then we will pick the venue.

For me it is Chinese, Pub Grub, Indian or Italian.

Have not been to eat in Il Padrino or Soho.
Panda Mama is wonderful, nicest Chinese in Cork by far and I have been to a lot of them!

Anyway, not sure what food we will be having, depends on the voting!

True. I would usually have been in there in the early evening so not so much of an issue. The food is very good for pub food though.

Of course the more the merrier, I'll be booking tomorrow evening. What type of food takes your fancy? Chinese and bar food are the two most popular so far.

Wahey cheers. As regards food I'm easy really - haven't had a good chinese in ages so I suppose that'd be first preference, but so long as it's good food I don't mind what type it is!! Looking forward to it! :D

Hmmm 9 is a little late for dinner for me too I think. Long day to wait for 9pm.

My first pref of the most popular choices would be pub grub. I like Chinese but haven't been to a good one in Cork yet so not so pushed on that. Indian would be my top pref though.

Okay so it seems like the vote is pretty much 50 / 50 for chinese / pub grub, how about we just go for pub grub?

That way people who like pub grub get it and the people who like chinese can hopefully get something like it in the pub, maybe a curry or something...

Let me know what you think asap, I'll book tomorrow evening.

    Pub grub is also cheaper...

Everyone happy with pub grub? Where do you want to go?

Scotts and Soho are the only two suggestions since the food type was announced...

Been to Soho once and it was fine; However I just grabbed a burger and a coffee.
Anyway, as usual I'll be down to work until 10.30pm, so I will try to catch you later if you hang around!
