Help choosing a mixer

That's not a mixer, it's a midi controller. And a bad quality one at that. There are two evolution UC33es on ads.ie for €100 each, get one of them and virtual DJ, and I'm selling a small cheap mixer to go alongside, and then you'd need a soundcard like a Maya 44 or an Audio 2 DJ. There are loads of threads about controllers, do a search.

If you want to mix records or CD's rather than dicking around with files and controllers etc then there's a LOVELY mixer on Adverts.ie at the moment, the seller is based in Cork which isn't too far from where you are.

^ I have one of these myself, the sound quality is as good as mixers twice the price, the EQ's are better than mixers three times the price and they're virtually indestructible. (I've tried)

Yep, UREI's have a great rep, up there with A&H.

I'd say, what you should do is buy that mixer, get a copy of Virtual DJ, a really cheap MIDI controller like a Korg NanoKontrol, and a cheap 2 channel soundcard like a maya 44. Cheap as chips (apart from the mixer), and you can upgrade really easily.
