Tent pegs in hand luggage

Im going ot be flyin with ryanair soon and while be bringing a tent in my hand luggage with the nessecary metal tent pegs. Has anyone brought tent pegs in hand luggage before. Im afraid Ill be stopped as they might be classed as some sort of weapon.

Yes, trust your instints.
The tent will have to be checked in. But you'll still be able to travel.
