Just wondering if anyone has any information regarding when the premier (or advance viewing) of Kick-ass is taking place and how I would have to go about getting some tickets for it?

Marrying girlie this year whose a huge movie buff and very much looking forward to this film since we saw Mr Vaughan pimping it @ the Empire Moviecon last year, her birthday being the 29th of March I figured this would be a gift she'd appreciate. Anyone who can help me to achieve this I'd very much appreciate it.

We're planning an advance screening for http://www.Movies.ie with some of the movie's cast flying in for it. The competition for tickets will probably go live in a week or two.

Thank you very much for the heads up - if you could add details when you have them I'd very much appreciate it.

Really looking forward to this, Mark Millar's work - if certainly polarising - is seldom boring.

Got to go to see this last night (thanks again to Movies.ie) and enjoyed it thoroughly. It's not as grand and reaching as Watchmen, as grim as Dark Knight Returns, as silly as Mystery Men or as up it's own ass as the Spiderman trilogy became. Actually, it mirrors/parodies the last in equal measures and very well. None of the actors will get nominated for an Oscar (or a Razzie) for their performances but it's good yarn. I did feel that the stronger performances were from the Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) and that, because of that, their characters and story arcs overshadowed that of the title character.

All in all well worth the price of admission and tasty treats, with plenty of openings for a sequel if Messors Millar and Vaughan are interested.
