    Laugh if you wish. I certainly did when I heard this recently but there is a way to get more shaves out of your disposable blades, Mach 3's, Fusions etc etc. I'm not sure if this works on WS Protector's but try this.....what have you got to lose?

    Take a pair of jeans
    Lie them on a hardish surface, ironing board, even a mattress will do.
    Get your razor with a blade that's about fit for the bin.

    Here comes the :rolleyes::D part:

    Push the blade along the surface of the jeans in short strokes in one direction (say starting from the waist end towards to foot). Do these short strokes about 20 times.

    Next push the blade away in the opposite direction for a further 20 short strokes.

    Then shave. It does work. I heard about this recently, tried it and I've used the blades a good few more times than I normally would have

    This video claims to have had 6 months out the 1 blade. I dunno if you'd get that much but try it for yourself

    So its basically this - http://www.shaving.ie/products/RazorPit-Blade-Sharpener.html

    But more time consuming and involves more space as you need a pair of old jeans, personally the razor bit seems like a better idea (not that I've used it)

    Most people own jeans, therefore you don't have to shell out another €24.

    Time consuming? It takes about 30 secs.

    If you are struggling for space to use the method I described you've more things to be worrying about.

    Each to their own, I was only trying to share a tip

    Not any more, what with the whip-lash from the razor stropping ( I didn't know you had to take the jeans off first) and now the permanent race tracks and zig zags on my face, I am scaring away the customers.
    But good on ya lad. I know you know what you are talking about.
    Don't mind me, it's the medication..........
