    Hi All,
I do a small bit of computer repair for friends and family and in the last two weeks I've come across three computers which don't start with the cannot find windows/system32/config/system error.

I know how to recover from this now thanks to google, but I was just wondering, three computer in two weeks with the same error, is there a virus doing the rounds or have I just found three computers with failing HDD's

Well its not because of a failing hard drive. Its possible its virus related but more than likely its due to system file corruption.

If you were messing around with the registry, then chances are you caused it

Malware is unlikely to do that, a bad removal can cause it though
