Sky without an active phoneline

Im thinking of getting Sky Digital in, but I dont want to re-activate the old landline in the house. I do need broadband but eircom b/b with Line rental is the guts of eur55. Will Sky just install the system, hook it up to the existing inactive phoneline and thats it? Or insist that the landline needs to be functioning? I reckon the installation lads dont give a rats as long as the place is there to connect the phone cable??

I know that they system doesn't need to be hooked up to the line to work, they only insist on it so u might use some of there interactive premium services.

Book a non landline sky install it will cost you once off €37.50 extra on top of your install fee

Just say Your friend in Dublin got it Waved and they wont charge you( was told to do that from my friend who is a Sky Rep) Worked for me! They Say you'll go to Upc as they dont charge, Better in your pocket than theres...
