    Hi there!

I just got my first deck there.. a Numark TT200, primarily just to start a record collection of my favourite artists for listening purposes, and then secondly just to mix vinyl in with Ableton.

I realise if I was to get a vinyl player primarily for listening purposes it would not have been a DJ deck, but since I may want to mix records in with ableton I got a deck.

So what I'm looking for now is a balance between as good sound quality I can get out of it, whilst still being DJable..

I'm a little confused with the whole cartridge thing.. seems like you can pay a lot of money on these things.

I read also that an S shaped tone arm is better for sound quality and longer mixing, and the straight arm for scratching (which I will be doing none of).

So what would be a good starting point for cartridges for good sound quality and mixing? Say under 100 euros? A cartridge includes the needle/stylus correct?

And would ye recommend I get the numark TT-200 s shaped tonearm?

    Many thanks.
    Mark.
