Hoping that someone might be able to give me some info - I put the name into Google to get the phone number and the review that comes up just slates the place and every other review is not very nice.

Now, the internet is not be trusted on all matters so has anyone any experience of the place?

    Thanks.

So that's why you've come to the internet to look for advice :p

I don't know anything about the accomodation side and I'm unsure what's happening with the ownership. I checked tripadvisor and there's nothing there. I don't really trust any other site on these matters.

I can tell you the last time I was in the bar, it was nice and cozy with friendly staff.

It's a medium sized, pleasant, cozy bar, no tunes to speak of, coal fire, old duffle-coated men drinking half ones of Guinness with a side of Jameson and horse racing on the TV with the volume turned down kind of place. It's now under new management and there is a really nice little venue out the back of it.

The accomodation side of things is not, as far as i am aware, affiliated with the bar.

Jesus those reviews would frighten you if you had booked, don't know anyone who stayed there but alot of time only the people who have had a bad experience write reviews.

I stand corrected. I'd trust this site and when I was working in hotel management it was the one site I checked for comments about the hotels I was working in.
