Question for all you folk taking part in the challenge elsewhere on this forum.

First of all can I say that I find it a great way of motivating myself to keep training (the little bit that I do manage to do!).

I think this may have been mentioned before somewhere but what I'm wondering is how do you count time spent on the turbo in terms of cycling distance, or do you just not count it at all??

    Thanks in advance!

I just count it as the same as being out on the road myself, got into so much trouble trying to get set it up in the first place I am half scared to take it off it. So I have yet to be out in the road this year yet. Although i do have a cycle computer on mine

I take it that you have this set up on the back wheel then? My trouble is that mine is on my front wheel and the only measure I have of my turbo work is the time that I spend on it... ie. 1 hour today, 30 mins yesterday etc etc. Just wondering if there was any standard way of including this in my kilometres to date?

You have me there, maybe go on your average times last year for 20k. Eg every 40 minutes on turbo is 20k. I am sure someone has a more scientific answer for this

For the turbo I count every 10mins of work (real effort) as 5k. I think it's underestimating the distance but I don't have the patience to configure the bike computer to work off my back wheel.
