Belfast has so many choices to eat out. Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Thai, American etc.

There are lots of places to eat upstairs in Victoria Square. It's a big shopping centre in the city centre. You should definitely check it out even if you're not going for food.

If you are looking chinese you could also go to China China (all you can eat buffet) on University Street, near Queen's University or the Red Panda on Great Victoria Street (near the Fitzwilliam if that's where you decided to stay).

Zen on Adelaide St. is great for Japanese food (with enough for a more European palate too) - great atmosphere and cocktails for the ladyfolk.

Also recently discovered La Boca on Fountain St. - great Argentinian food, amazing steaks and an excellent wine list. They're only open for late evening meals over the weekend afaik.

China China?! Not worth the walk out of town imo. It's basically take away food but you sit down to eat it.

Zen is great for sushi, Bourbon on Gt. Victoria Street, Molly's Yard (out by the university...might be a bit of a walk?), Made in Belfast...
