Conditional offer of PGCE in Liverpool

    Hi all,
I've gotten a conditional offer from Liverpool Hope university to a secondary PGCE with history there which I am delighted about however the conditions are that I get a 2.1 in my degree and that I do ten more days work experience in a secondary school. The problem I'm having is that I am still in college full time five days a week and to do the ten days in a school it would involve me missing ten days of college, which would put my 2.1 in jeopardy as a lot of my classes are continuous assessment! This experience has to be completed by July, along with this I have to do three days in a primary school and two days in another educational facility that is not a school. I don't know where I'm going to get the time, and I am still not sure if they'll accept experience in an Irish secondary school....anyone got any advice on how to fit everything in? or how I go about it all!?
    Any help/advice would be great!

Definitely focus on your grades first. I think english (maybe northern ireland too) schools have shorter summer holidays than in Ireland. From this cheshire council I gather schools in england are open in June so you could do it in england (or northern ireland?) after your finals

yeah that's an option too, I wonder will it be easy to get experience in a school in the North, I'd have to commute from Dublin...I thought the interview would be the hardest part!

Congratulations Sock Snatcher. Do you know if many universities will accept a 2:2 degree? I am thinking of applying at the moment
