Process of license restoration order

Well other than the solicitor route of 100s of euros for a service...

I know it is possible to go about this yourself but am wondering what that process is exactly. Does anyone here know what is needed to do this?

I know it takes roughly five weeks from time of application to go to court but having contacted the guards already to find out have they got a form they advised to go to solicitor who in turn wants to have more money coming in.

    What's the procedure?

Contact the district court office (or circuit court office if your original disqualification was imposed by the circuit court). They have forms to apply for restoration of your licence which you must serve on the prosecuting garda.

You can only apply after you are half way through your disqualification and only the last third of the disqualification is suspended.
