Can anyone explain to me why there was a 7.54% positive movement in TVC Holdings share price yesterday on volume of 150?? Seems like an enormous movement on such extremely small volume. I know its a thinly traded stock but surely moves of this magnitude on 150 shares looks slightly off.

Annyone got any insights / opinions?

    Thanks

Alot of Irish stocks have paltry daily volume. The spread set by market makers then tends to be wide..For example today..have a look at Irish continental group ..I see on the LSE the spread is 14.10 bid/ 14.70 offered ..So in your TVC example, it wouldnt be too hard to see an abberation like the 7% move. If they were bid at 54 / and offered @ 58. If a private client wanted to sell a few tvc, they would have done it @ market and sold at .54 if you get what im saying..and so the trade is reported @ the lower price

    Bosra,

Many thanks for the promt reply and explanation.

I fully understand what your saying and thanks for clarifying.

Jsut seemed strange to think that there was only circa €60 of a trade done through that stock yesterday reflecting a 7.5% movement whereas in early February there was about 200k flowing through.
