Canyon colours in reality

Does anyone have a Canyon Ultimate CF in Monza Red or Apple Green? And if so would you post a photo or two. The trouble with web retailers is it is hard to really know the look of the bike. I like the look of both of these on their santitised catalog shots
http://www.canyon.com/_en/roadbikes/bike.html?b=879 but would really like to see owner photos of fully assembled bikes in these colours in real light. Bikes have gone so monochrome in general these days it's nice to see some colour out there.

I've only seen a black one in real life.

    It was black.

    :)

A club mate had a black one.

I can verify it looks quite black as well. ;)

It wouldn't be an internet purchase without the fear that it'll look crap when it comes out of the box.

    Apple green, apple green!

In fairness, it is a pretty specialised query, I am guessing the answer is that none of those 69 people have an Ultimate CF in Apple Green or Monza Red. I think that sounds plausible, I would be surprised if from a random selection of 69 cyclists one had it in those colours. If you asked about the Planet X however...

Today marks the start of my campagin to have "Planet-X" added to the boards.ie swear filter.

Apple green is more of an asparagus green if you ask me. Although one of the lads insists it's more of a jade.

The red is lovely - has shades of carmine. Team it with crimson handlebar tape and you'll be turning heads in the bunch.

Fair point Blorg. It's just that normally no matter how obscure the query on this forum, somebody's been there.

I know, I know, sounds terrible. Looks good though. Probably sounds better in German?

They actually use the English colour names on the German site. You see this a lot in Germany, English is thrown in randomly all over the place. It's often used for headings, etc.

here's some photos of a red canyon on flickr -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/bzzzt/sets/72157594173121496/ 'Monza Red' suggests it's as close to ferrari red without getting sued, can you patent a colour ...?

Thanks parasite. Looks quite different than on the Canyon website - don't think I like it. That's exactly why I started this thread.
By the way, how did you find that? I searched Google images - looked at about 6 pages of results and found nothing other than the official canyon pics.

Red usually photographs badly. I forget why, but there is some technical reason.

My ! over the Apple Green were actually positive exclamations. I like it, although I'd prefer Fuji White.

I think I searched "canyon ultimate" on flickr. I suppose you'll have to bear in mind the quality of his camera and how it handles harsh sunlight. At a guess, I'd say some of those flickr photos make it look more orange than it is

Hi I've been trying to find exactly the same photos as you, but Apple Green is the colour I'm after.
I came across this which gives a better idea of the colour than Canyons website.
    http://cgi.ebay.de/Canyon-Ultimate-CF-F10-Rahmenset-58cm-Vollcarbon-/330414012426

I like it. If you've got one since the last post stick a photo on to help me decide.

I saw a dirty white one at one of the Stamullen races a few weeks ago. Didn't look great.

Much as I hate black bikes, I'm not sure I could cope with all the cleaning.

I didn't end up buying one (or anything else) so no pics I'm afraid. The green in those ebay pics looks brighter than on the canyon website alright - which is why I started this thread. It's hard to judge colours in catalog photos. If you do end up getting one stick up a pic.

I've seen a white Canyon in the flesh and it looks super. If I was choosing one, definitely go for the white with the black logos.
